Privacy Statement Droppery B.V.
- General
Droppery B.V. (hereinafter also referred to as “Droppery“, “we” or “us“) processes personal data within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“AVG“) as part of the provision of its services. Insofar as Droppery does so in its role as ‘data controller’, this Privacy Statement applies to those processing operations whereby we explain, among other things, what data we collect, for what purposes and how we secure it.
It is also possible that Droppery does process your personal data, but does so on behalf of and in order of our client or supplier (“Client“). In that case Droppery processes the personal data in the role of ‘processor’. In that case we have concluded a processor’s agreement with the Client and you should consult the privacy policy of the Client concerned for further information about the handling, processing and security of your data.
This Privacy Statement also does not apply to (the processing of your personal data via) third party websites or services referred to on or via our platform.

3. Personal data we process and purposes
Droppery offers a drop-shipping platform and related services to which Clients (such as but not limited to: suppliers, webshops, partners) can connect.
When you visit our website(s) or our platform, request a quote from us or commission a product or service from us, or apply for a job with us, we will process the personal data you provide. We explain this in more detail below.
Website or platform visits
When you visit our website or platform, your IP address and certain traffic data are stored. This includes, for example, the number of pages visited, which browser you use, or which products are ordered. This data is used for statistical purposes and to test and improve the user friendliness of our website(s). In this context, we also make use of Google Analytics. This functionality is privacy-friendly and we have concluded a processing agreement with Google, the IP address is anonymised and no data is shared with Google.
If you would like to request a demo or a quotation for one of our products or services, or contact us with another question, we will process the following personal data in order to be able to respond to your request:
- Name and address details, whether business address or not,
- Contact details such as (mobile) telephone number and (business) e-mail address
Account Client
When you, as a Client, want to create an account on our platform, we collect and process the following personal data:
- Name and address details, whether business address or not,
- Contact details such as (mobile) telephone number and (business) e-mail address
- (business) financial information, such as a bank account number
- […]
In this case Droppery processes your personal data in the context of the preparation or implementation of its services.
Newsletter
If you have subscribed to our newsletter or purchased products or services from us, we will occasionally keep you informed about our products and services and/or relevant developments in that respect. You can unsubscribe from such newsletters at any time via a link in the e-mail concerned.
Application
If you apply or wish to apply for a job with us, we may collect and process the following personal data:
- Name and address details
- Contact details such as (mobile) phone number and e-mail address
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Data in the context of a job application, such as education and career data
- Any other data you supply voluntarily
When you apply for a job with us, we keep the above data for a maximum of 4 weeks after the procedure has ended and, with your permission, for a maximum of 12 months after the procedure has ended.
- Minors
Our platform and services are not specifically aimed at or intended for minors. If it is found that a minor’s personal data is being processed without the consent of the parent or guardian, please contact us using the contact details above and we will delete the data.
5. Personal data that we share with third parties
We never sell your personal data to third parties. In principle, your personal data will not be shared with third parties either, except in the following cases:
- External partners/companies that we engage in order to develop our products and/or services (‘processors’), for example our IT suppliers. We have made agreements with them regarding the careful handling and security of personal data in processing agreements;
- (government) bodies or parties to whom we have to disclose certain personal data on the basis of a legal obligation;
- Institutions or parties in order to prevent, detect, investigate or limit the consequences of fraud, security breaches or other potentially illegal activities. Where appropriate, we will make agreements in processing agreements regarding the careful handling and security of the personal data.
- In the context of a planned merger or takeover in which Droppery is involved, only in so far as the sharing of (part of) the personal data is necessary in that context and with due observance of sufficient guarantees for the protection of the personal data.
In principle, your personal data will not be passed on to parties or countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Should it be necessary to transfer personal data to parties or countries outside the EEA, we will do so in compliance with the legal requirements.
6. Security and safekeeping of personal data
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from loss and unauthorised access or misuse.
We will retain your personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes for which the personal data was obtained or in accordance with applicable statutory retention periods. You have the right at any time to request earlier deletion of your personal data. We will respond within the applicable time limits upon receipt of such a request.
7. Your rights
You have the right to request access to, to amend, to supplement, to delete or to transfer your personal data. You can also request to restrict or object to certain data processing. You also have the right to withdraw previously given consent.
You may direct any requests or complaints regarding your personal data to us using the contact details provided in this Privacy Statement. We will respond to your request within the applicable time limits. For the sake of completeness, we would also like to point out that you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the “Personal Data Authority”.
In cases where we do not act as a “data controller” but as a “processor” (e.g. for the Client), any request to inspect, change or delete data will go through the relevant Client. We will inform you of this as appropriate.
8. Cookies
In order to allow our (mobile) applications and websites to function properly and to optimise them, we place ‘cookies’. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer, for example to remember settings, preferences or surfing behaviour. Cookies can be removed at any time via the settings of the web browser.
9. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Statement to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. It is recommended that you consult this Privacy Statement regularly so that you are aware of any changes.
10. Applicable law
This Privacy Statement, as well as any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Privacy Statement, is governed exclusively by Dutch law.
