New brands like Rivièra Maison, Versmissen, and BePureHome now active within Droppery

At the end of last year, Droppery made the strategic decision to focus entirely on Home & Living, Kids Design, and Outdoor Living. In recent weeks, several new interior wholesalers have joined the platform, including Rivièra Maison, Versmissen, and BePureHome. These developments gave reason to speak with CCO and founder Cathelijne Mooren.

Record sales and transactions through Droppery
“In May, we set new records,” Cathelijne says enthusiastically. “A record number of transactions and total revenue through the platform. Many new retailers and outstanding brands want to collaborate with us. Droppery is more than just a platform for processing product data and orders; it’s primarily used as a B2B sales tool.”

Motivations of wholesalers
Each wholesaler on Droppery has its own motivation, Cathelijne explains. “On one hand, they want to automate processes for their existing customers. On the other hand, Droppery helps them find new sales locations both locally and internationally. We currently operate in 23 countries.”

She adds, “If you want to attract new customers, you can receive connection requests from interested retailers through the platform. If you mainly want to support your existing customers, you can offer Droppery as an additional service. And if a great new connection comes along, that’s a welcome bonus.”

Supporting a specific type of retailer
Droppery also supports a wide range of retailers looking for new products, focusing on a specific retailer profile. “These are companies that have been active for a long time and are recognized authorities in their field,” Cathelijne explains. “They want to expand their product range but often don’t have the physical space to stock everything. Droppery provides a quick way to get new products live.”

Examples of retailers on the platform include Solfelt and Deens.

Additional transshipment service
To handle more orders and onboard new customers, Droppery offers an extra transshipment service. “Wholesalers often only ship free of charge to B2B clients. For these companies, we can now take over transportation,” Cathelijne says.

Orders are sent to Droppery’s Amsterdam transshipment hub, from where they are prepared and shipped directly to the end customer. This service eliminates order cancellations caused by minimum order requirements. “Moreover, the wholesaler only needs to maintain their B2B relationship and never interacts with consumers, which is often preferred since it avoids added complexity,” Cathelijne explains.

She clarifies that this is strictly a transshipment service, not fulfillment.
